Strive to know the Russian language in all its diversity the way V.I. Dal did

On November 23, Azeez Ali Qahtan (Iraq), a 4th year student of FIME PIMU, gave a brilliant report on Comparative Analysis of Russian and Arabic Proverbs about Hospitality at the III International Forum of Multifaceted V.I. Dal in World Science and Culture hosted by the Linguistics University of Nizhny Novgorod named after N.А. Dobrolyubov.
The life and work of V.I. Dahl, a non-Russian person who has lived in Nizhny Novgorod for 10 years, can set an example for foreign students to follow. Ali finished his report with such advice to foreign students: ‘Strive to know the Russian language in all its diversity the way V.I. Dal did’.
